Amy is a College & Career Consultant, certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®. She received her BSBA in Accounting from Xavier University in 1983 and began her career as an auditor in the Cincinnati offices of Deloitte & Touche, where she was responsible for review of internal control systems, compliance testing, preparation of financial statements, and client relations.
She returned to Xavier to pursue her love of liberal arts and earned a Master of Arts degree in 1997. From there, she spent nearly a decade in the college and high school classrooms educating young adults.
Today, working as a consultant, Amy combines her business knowledge, education experience and certification in both the MBTI® and the Strong Interest Inventory® training to help students and young professionals discover their strengths, growth edges, communication style, learning style, and career interests.
Amy serves as a volunteer mentor with Xavier University Career Services, and was named the 2010 "Mentor of the Year" for the College of Arts & Sciences. She and her mentee presented "Making the Most of Your Mentoring Relationship" at the December 5th, 2009 Women's Issues in the Workplace Summit held at the Cintas Center. She was also a featured panelist at the January 25th, 2010 Xavier Women of Excellence and Women Student Athletes Mentoring Lunch.
Amy was named one of Cincinnati's One Hundred Wise Women, a program founded on the vision that "successful professionals must develop solid networks and trusted mentors to achieve their goals as business and community leaders." |
